Day Five: Feel
You need to surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself. It’s so simple, so obvious…but how many of us do this? Do you instead fall into that self-destructive habit of spending time with people who make you feel drained or down?
I get that we will always encounter people who don’t make us feel good. In some cases, like family members, it is hard to get away. But please try to make more time for the people who make you feel good.
Also, do you make others feel good about themselves? I bet you do, and doing it more will raise your self-esteem more.
Two tasks for today – firstly, who makes you feel good about yourself? Name that person. And whoever that person is, spend more time with them. Secondly, who did you do this for recently? Who felt good because of you?
My answers:
Tom makes me feel so good about myself – he knows everything about me and still shows a huge amount of love.
I recently made a friend feel good about herself by telling her what a fantastic person and friend she is.
