Day Twenty Three: Challenge
The mind is scarily powerful – when your mental health suffers, you realise how much control it can take. Negative thoughts can completely knock you off your feet. When your self esteem is low, you can start to believe thoughts such as:
‘I’m ugly’
‘Nobody will ever find me attractive’
‘I’m useless’
‘I’m not good enough’
‘I’ll never be able to that’
‘I don’t deserve friends’
‘I’m boring’
and I could go on forever unfortunately!
Today, your task is to challenge these negative thoughts. This is something I learnt through counselling, so if your daily life is affected by negative thinking, I would encourage you to consider therapy so you can learn this technique properly.
