Boost of the Day #126: Christmas Gifts

“It’s the thought that counts”

Buying Christmas presents can be very stressful, especially if you have low self-esteem and/or are eager to please people. Not having much money can also cause a great deal of anxiety, especially if other friends or family members can afford a lot more.

Try to remember that anyone worth your while will not care how much money you have to spend on them. It’s the thoughtful gifts, such as something linked to their favourite hobby or TV programme, a photo collage or a personalised item, that will leave a lasting impression.

If you’re feeling anxious about Christmas and buying presents, talk to someone you can trust and ask for ideas and help.
