Boost of the Day #105: British modesty

Having a low opinion of yourself if not 'modesty'. It's self-destruction.Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not 'egotism'. It's a necessary pre-condition to happiness and success.

Being British, I have been brought up to believe that talking about your achievements makes you egotistic and selling yourself is thought of as ‘bragging’.

We need to stop this madness! Believing that you are a good person and talking about your strengths is not bragging – it drives away low self-esteem and builds confidence. We need to have high opinions of ourselves to be happy and worrying that this makes us egotistical is ridiculous. So shout about your achievements and be proud of your unique qualities 🙂
