I’ve mentioned before that attention seeking is often a big sign of low self-esteem.

Emma Watson is such a wonderful role model for young women – she is successful, classy and intelligent. Her success comes from her ability to act, now through attention seeking ‘Miley Cyrus/Kim Kardashian’ methods.

An air of mystery is a great thing to have about you. I often made the mistake of thinking I was less fun and interesting because I was quieter than my friends around men and always got called ‘aloof and mysterious’.

However, I now can appreciate that being less loud and ‘in your face’ is a positive quality to have.

Being loud, bolshy, trashy, provacatively dressed etc. will gain you attention, but not respect.

Be mysterious and let them wonder instead.
