One very simple exercise, which can be helpful in raising your general wellbeing and self-esteem, is to take the time at the end of your day to think about three things that you’ve done today. Three things that you are pleased with. These do not have to be large, impressive things…
For example, my day today. I am pleased with the following:
- I made it to a Pilates class despite being knackered
- I took the time to ring my mum
- I made a dinner which tasted pretty good (trust me, this is always very impressive to me!!)
There you go, three very tiny things but reflecting on them makes me feel happy that I achieved something with my day.
You don’t even have to write them down if you’re short on time – just think them before you go to sleep 🙂
