30 Day Self-Esteem Challenge: Day Four

Day four: A habit you have that you like

I’m unnaturally early to everything. I sat outside the shops this morning on a park bench for 15 minutes because I arrived before opening time (luckily it was sunny). For my last interview, I sat in a dodgy park on the phone to my mum for 45 minutes because I arrived insanely early.

I like this about me. It means I never waste people’s time and keep them waiting. It also means that on the VERY rare occasion that I am late (I actually was 10 minutes late to a family lunch yesterday, omg!!), people are extremely understanding as they know it must be because of external circumstances, rather than me leaving late.

It has other advantages – by the time anyone else arrives, I am chilled out, relaxed and probably have already got drinks and seats sorted, so there’s benefits to everyone else as well!
